Bone - amount of whalebone or baleen (expressed in pounds) landed or sent home
Date Built - Year vessel was launched or registered
Departure - year and month vessel left hailing port
Destination - proposed whaling ground, as declared at the beginning of the voyage
Fate - Final disposition of vessel, if known
Hailing Port - Port of registry or departure
Master(s)- Captain(s), or commanders of the vessels
Place Built - Town and State
Source - Records from which the supplied information was transcribed
Sperm - amount of sperm oil (expressed in barrels) landed or sent home
Vessel name - Includes rigging (in parentheses)
Voyage # - unique identifier for each of the more than 15,000 voyages
Whale - amount of baleen whale oil (expressed in barrels) landed or sent home
