As you may have noticed, we've upgraded the site (lets call it release 0.2). Many of the additions are the result of suggestions so please keep them coming. The email address is: nmdlibrary@gmail.com.
Please be sure and check out both the web search and the book search. Both need to have a lot more items added but for now, you can get an idea of the possibilities...and perhaps get inspired to contribute!
National Maritime Digital Library Projects
In keeping with MDL's mission of getting maritime information online we have partnered with several other institutions to put materials online. The following projects are currently under construction:
- American Offshore Whaling Voyages
- Coriolis: the Interdisciplinary Journal of Maritime History
- Whalemen's Shipping List
